IEMAS Frags for Food event a success!
Recently we told you about the efforts of the Inland Empire Marine Aquarium Society ( IEMAS) to gather canned food for the local food bank in the area.
They had approximately 72 people participate in the main food drive throughout the day this year were able to raise approximately 1,120 cans worth of food! Next year they hope to have more donations, frags, food, and raffle items to give away- If you would like more information on the club or if you live in Southern California check out the website for more information.
The marine aquarium hobby is a wonderful way for us to bring our families and friends together. This event was a successful way to tie our amazing hobby into the local community. IEMAS president Cylix reports that it is a great feeling to have made such a big difference in the lives of others that are less fortunate. Hopefully we can continue to feed people one frag at a time....
